This summer is not what I thought it would be. I'm at home. I'm working full time. My friends are scattered throughout the states, and even overseas. A summer of mistakes, a summer of learning lessons. I'm in the land of in between...child and adult, home and away, work and school, joy and sadness, excitement and fear. I've been happy and carefree, yet also spent hours alone in tears. I'm not sure where I'm headed, or quite what I want in life. I feel like I'm yoyo-ing back and forth with those I care for most, growing closer then bouncing back to distance, and back again. Unlike school, or camp, or church, no one is on the same schedule as I am now...they're all headed in different directions, and I'm not quite sure where I fit into all of this. In my heart I know I need to cling to God, yet I know this isn't reflected in how I spend my time. I'm wandering, looking for a right path as I weave through the days, hoping for companionship...
